Vote PopUp Training Dartmouth

For community staff and volunteers looking to engage their communities in the lead-up to the federal election, Samara is offering training in which we will share tips, tricks and materials for planning and running a Vote PopUp.

 (See here for Halifax training)

Why Vote PopUp? Samara created the Vote PopUp kit to offer engaged citizens the tools and techniques needed to foster interest in the upcoming election and demystify the voting process for first-time and infrequent voters.

What: An introduction and short training to this hands-on and field-tested engagement tool kit.

In addition to the kit, everyone will get food, ballot boxes, voting screens and swag from Elections Canada!

Who: Staff and community leaders interested in increasing political participation in their communities.

Teams of up to five members from community organizations are welcome! Space is limited.

A Kit for Community Groups to Ignite Voter Participation

This year may be one of the closest and most fiercely contested federal elections in recent history. This presents both an opportunity and a challenge for community organizations and local leaders working in communities with traditionally low rates of political participation. In response, Samara has created the Vote PopUp kit to foster interest in the upcoming election and demystify the voting process for first-time and infrequent voters.
